fairies and vampires

vampire fairy twilight goth emo punk sk8er meeting place

After watching Twilight for, like, the 10th time I've decided that it really just pisses my off...

1. They do not capture the character personalities at all.
2. Edward seems soooo Akward when talking to Bella
3. The romantic scenes leaves something to be desired and the relationships between characters seem weak!
4. They skipped a lot of my fave scenes in the Novel (eg. the Blood Typing scene)
5. The scenes happen in the wrong order
6. The dialog between the characters and character actions are too different from that in the book.
8. I could have sworn 'Rosalie' stuck something edible in her mouth in one of the cafeteria scenes
9. Edward, in one scene, wears freaking SUNGLASSES to school -how whack is that?
10. It's too damn short and some of the cast cannot act to save their lives.

AND another thing: Is Jacob's hair really that long in the book?

Gosh that movie pisses me off! I hope New Moon will be a improvement -since they have Dakota to show them rookies how it's done!

But thee is one thing I like about it:
THE CULLEN BOYS ARE HOT!!!

Comment if you like -agree or disagree. Feel to add more good or bad points if you like, I'd love to hear the rest of the world's opinions.

i completely agree 100%.
yes the film is good.. but not as good as the book, yes people have there own interpritations of the book, but it did miss loads of things out and the acting was quite poor.

the books are fantastic tho (Y) x

I agree.
But I'd like to add the sparkles were completely CREEPY [note, the word is 'creepy' not 'sexy'], and that sparkles do not sound like wind chimes. Sparkles do not have a sound of any kind. Unless you drop a container of them or something, then they would kind of have a sound, but it would be the container hitting the floor that makes the sound. Another I would absolutely LOVE to add, is how horrible Kristen's acting was. She probably blinked about twelve million times in one scene. It was completely annoying, and distracting, because you'll be watching the movie, and just start thinking "does she have something in her eye? Why does she keep blinking? Is she trying to count how many times she can blink? Oh, I feel like counting how many times she blinks now.. one... twenty... fifty.... one hundred..." and so on.

LOL! totally what I thought -the blinkin thing was reaaaaally weird!

I really agree with you. The chime/tinkling bell sounds during the sparkles were lame. And I thought they were supposed to sparkle so much that they were hard to look at because it was too bright.
Kristen's acting...acting...hmm...acting...
Yeah, not so great. One thing they tell you alot, try not to do anything distracting when saying your lines. This includes raising your eyebrows and blinking.

You're right...I hope they make New Moon WAY better than the first film....
But I still love the movie even though it pissed me off a bit....

1. Book to Movie renditions usually cut things out such as intimate character development that while it is important in the book it is difficult to encompass visually.
2. Through most of the first book Edward WAS awkward when talking to Bella, charming yes but still awkward.
3. See number 1. It is very difficult to show true relationship development in movies, mind you some DO pull it off, however generally that takes time and Twilight as a 1 hour or so movie.
4. They had to cut out A LOT because it's only a 1 hour or so movie, if they tried to fit the WHOLE book into a movie then everyone's asses would have been numb by the end and half the audience probably would have left, no one goes to a theatre for an entire day, at least I don't.
5. This happens in a lot of Book to Movie renditions, for example in Prisoner of Azkaban Harry gets his firebolt in the middle of the book while in the movie he gets it in the LAST scene.
6. This has to be done a lot to shorten the movie, so they simplify and dumb everything down to cram a book into a 1 hour or so sitting.
7. You missed seven ^^.
8. I wasn't really THAT focused on the movie to notice something so insignificant.
9. Umm, stylish? And I've seen humans wearing sunglasses at night so why can't he on a cloudy day to fit in? or perhaps they were playing on the reason that MOST humans don't have gold colored eyes without contacts ^^.
10. Frankly as I've said at least four times it's a Book to Movie rendition, i don't know about you but i COULDN'T sit in a theatre for seven hours watching every detail of the book on screen, if I did want to do that I'd get a Book on tape thing. And honestly the acting wasn't THAT bad, especially for actors who have NEVER played a movie with vampires in it, especially not vampires that redefine the stereotype, they did what they could and overall it was a decent movie, it won't win any awards but it wasn't a HORRIBLE movie, my biggest gripe would be the annoying audience in the theatres 13 year old girls gasping and swooning every time a penis walks across the screen ruins any attempt at immersion the movie provides, which is why I watched the movie online ^^.

Just my opinion though ^^

Hmmmm... interesting. I agree with many of these reasons to give the movie a break, but eish, some things about it was just unacceptable

edward looks like he'd be one of those rapists who is so weak he would get beaten up by the victim, some of the dialogue is quite weak and the soundtrack was AWFUL.
i liked it though,
