OK, here I am in a place where many people actually believe there are supernatural, immortal vampires in the world who go around drinking your blood. That's wild. So with all that angst going around, here's the question I pose you - Do you believe in God, i.e., is there a God? If you do, why? If you don't, why? It's a simple question, and all answers are respected, no matter what you believe, no matter what faith.

"Thy Lord is self-sufficient, full of Mercy: if it were God's will, God could destroy you, and in your place appoint whom God will as your successors, even as God raised you up from the posterity of other people." (sura 6:133)

Yeah... I believe in god...

well, yes, i do believe in God. i have been raised worshiping God, and i have had nothing to question my reason. i have witnessed many miracles, and have seen too many good things in the world - despite the bad - for anything to change my mind on that.

I argue that there is no "God". All the energi use on explaining life can be shorted down to the simple thread of balance in particuls. I believe that the creature God was created out of a desperation for optaining a reason for everything; therefore i argue; "God" is a fantasy creature. It is proven that in the western counties the tho of "God" has almost disappeared in tact with education being spread. It sadly seams only the poor and challanged believe in God to create reason for their suffering. I lost faith as a child, being with my mentally ill mother at the bottom of sociaty, having been challanged enough. My preist look at me, and said the classicer "there is a reason for averything". I disagree. there was no reason for my missery, only the lack of people stepping in to change things. i was only a kid, having to change the world around.
I believe humans are weak, hidding behin the picture of a God, that have almigthy powers. I believe poeple should take action for themself, eveen if it's hard, even if it mean standing alone on your feet. My conclussion is: it is when the fear of reason become visible we start hoping for a God. He isn't there. We should start making the world a better place by our every action. We can take some of the ideals behind the god image; being kind to others, guideline how to behave, as for what they are; guidelines. We alone decide and create our future

After researching and trying to come to grips with the God thing . i have come to the conclusion that MAYBE there is a God, if that is so there must also be a Satan or Lucifer or whatever you wish to call him. The bible teaches one is good and the other evil. Why could they not be both good? Now who would have the most to gain by putting this doubt in the minds of men. God no i don't think so, Satan maybe. Why man himself after all he has the most to gain.(Money the Power and the Glory) Satan has been blamed for a lot of evil on earth when in fact it has been man and man alone who have committed atrocities against fellow human beings. Yes it so easy to cast the blame on someone else. How many times have we heard the phrase "it is the work of the Devil" and No i am not a Satan worshipper although it is written to know Good you must also know Evil.

"The Christian resolve to find the world evil and ugly, has made the world evil and ugly."
- Friedrich Nietzsche

Today, the Christian church does not have the power it once had, yet, we have witnessed the Christian abuses of children, child rape, molestation and other vile acts that reveal the true nature of many Christians and the effects their "god" has upon his followers. The pedophilia scandals are just a small sample of what Christians are capable of.
Years ago, when the Christian church had complete control over government, human life and spirit, we can see from the inquisition, just how sick these people are and just what lengths they will go to get you to accept "jesus." Just as is seen in the numerous Christian abuses of children today, years ago, with the inquisition, girls as young as nine and boys as young as ten were tried for witchcraft. Children much younger were tortured to extract testimony against their parents.¹ Children were then flogged while they watched their parents burn.
During the reign of the Roman Emporer Constantine CE 306-337 the doctrines of the Christian church were regarded as the foundation of law.4 Heretics (persons who opposed church teachings) were sought out, tortured and eventually murdered.
Pope Innocent III commissioned his own inquisitors who answered directly to him. Their authority was made official in the papal bull of March 25th, 1199.7Innocent declared "anyone who attempted to construe a personal view of god which conflicted with the church dogma must be burned without pity."
Inquisitors grew very rich, accepting bribes and fines from the wealthy who paid to avoid being prosecuted. The wealthy were prime targets for the church who confiscated their property, land and everything they had for generations. The Inquisition took over all of the victims' possessions upon accusation. There was very little if any chance of proving one's self innocent, so this is one way the catholic church grew very wealthy. Pope Innocent stated that since "god" punished children for the sins of their parents, they had no right to be legal heirs to the property of their parents. Unless children came forth freely to denounce their parents, they were left penniless. Inquisitors even accused the dead of heresy, in some cases, as much as seventy years after their death. They exhumed and burned the accused's bones and confiscated all property from their heirs, leaving them with nothing.
On Sunday, March 12th, 2002, the Pope John Paul II apologized for the "errors of his church for the last 2000 years."

I believe in forces outside of just the human realm, I do not believe in "god" at all, in saying that I don't believe in a god that makes you bow down and kiss his ass all the time and forces you to sit in a church once a week, I believe that if there is a god he would want you to just go about your daily life and be a good, hardworking member of the community.

I believe in God, probably because I was raised in the church.( Yes Christian, NO Catholic.) I find that talking to my God is comforting, even if no one else believes. I go to church, I pray....sometimes;D..... I hang out with pepole that are vampires, werewolves, I think I've even heard of a werleopard.... So yea, i beleive in god because i think there must be something more.

I believe that there is a god... the god is genderless and is accepting no matter what the bible says... the bible is good for general questions on what those people believe but we should live our lives according to our own rules and societies laws

i believe in god not only because i've lived that way all my life, but also because i know that i probably wouldn't even be alive if it wasn't for god protecting me and loving me unconditionally. i might only be 13 but i know that as long as i have god than i will always have someone with me even when i'm alone. and yes there is a god.

When you capitalize God, i assume you are talking about the judeo-christain god. No, i do not belive he exists, because a god of love would not allow the suffering and war we are seeing to day .
