its super complicated y'all

ill try to explain the best i can

so i liked this girl (yes its a girl drama thing) and she liked me

but we didnt know it

so she went out with this chick

that chick was and still is engaged to another chick

the girl i liked went out with the chick behind her fiances back

after a while they broke up and i wanted to be with her

but as soon as she told me she was single she said she wanted to wait til her dad approved for us to go out

then last night she told me she was going back out with the engaged chick

and then has the nerve to tell me to please not be mad a bout it

so yeah i guess im too trusting but i hate being lied too

so i told her "ok so i got the hint. youd rather be with and engaged chick than me, ok. I'm gone."

then she said that she didnt want me gone but her dad wouldnt approve of us going out

so i told her cause yeah hed accept you going out with a chick\

but apparently he thinks that theyre just friends

her dad thinks all guys are in it for the sex by the way

i just wish i could have the chance to prove him wrong...

My husband says he has known several people in similar predicaments. The "nice guy" approach would be to back off at this point and maybe try to be friends. He says that nothing ever goes anywhere at that point. The only way you will still have a chance with her would be to help her realize that if she can keep her folks from knowing about the details of her relationship with the engaged girl, she can keep the details of her relationship with you from them as well. When telling her this, you must be extremely CHARMING. DO NOT be a jerk about it. In D&D this would be a diplomacy check of at least 35. God my husband is such a NERD. Sorry about that
