Hey everyone, not been active on here for a while. Been having some issues to deal with :)
Alright, this will be a "little" rant. NOTE: I put quotations around "little" because if anyone has seen any of my rants, they are far from little, *giggle*
Alright, so I've been seeing lately that a lot of people are asking "Am I awakening" "How do I know if I am awakening" etc. etc. There are various types of questions that have been asked.
Okay, first of all.. the teenage body is a marvelous thing full of hormones, which makes our bodies start to act very odd, you know the usual things, you get acne and other wonderful things.
Alright, well this is not limited to having weird cravings, or having mood swings, fatigue, everything. All of that is completely normal.
A lot of people are on here thinking that they are going through an awakening, but in all reality they are just going through puberty. Puberty doesn't end until your 20's for some. So, it doesn't end when you get all of the basic stuff, nooo my friend, it goes a lot farther than that. Most of it is mental. Which is why parts of your brain are still growing. Your skeletal system is still growing, so is your skull. Sutures do not close up until your 30s I believe, correct me if I am wrong.
Of course, this is not a discussion on puberty, well.. not all of it.
Like I said above, a lot of people think that they are vampires awakening on here. Most of that is not really true. If you research Anemia or Diabetes, you will see that a few cases the people actually crave blood. It deals with the system of your body wanting what it can get in a very short time. Which is why people with high blood sugar want water or are thirsty, because they are trying to flush sugar out of the system. Like I said, the body is a very interesting thing, especially the teenage body.
Bodies, when they are full of hormones, will cause it to go through random changes, especially those having to deal with pain. Growing pains are the worst, but a lot of people get them. It does not mean that you are turning into a creature of the night, or a wolf. Sorry folks, it is true.
I do believe that a lot of people want things to be different in their lives, but at the same time, I think that people need to look around, and see what they really have. Face life, and in return, you might actually start to see how magical it really is. Some people want a way out, but in reality I think that rhey are just scared, and they will never know how their lives really could be.
If you talk to your doctor about some things, they will not think of you crazy, if you talk to them correctly. I think that many of you are just looking to things to make yourself feel more important, and some of you don't even need that. Most of the people on here I've met are very interesting wonderful people, but they don't even realize it themselves.
In all reality, yes, otherkin exist, without a doubt, but I think that people read too much into things before they really get a chance to think of anything else. Hormones do cause serious changes, like mentioned above. That is why people get depressed, and don't know how to handle things. Actually, there is a part of your brain that does not stop growing until you hit your early 20s. It deals with rational thought. Which means, that you do not take the time to really think about things, which makes it harder for you to think things through. It could be the reason why so many teenage suicides happen. They do not think that there is a way out of it. I think that the human brain is more complex that anything that I've seen.
Although, otherkin, like I mentioned, they are real. It does not mean that you are not in a human body. 99.9% of all otherkin are HUMAN. They are reincarnated souls in human bodies, Which means that they deal with the same thing as humans do, and in all reality, the awakening is just an intensified form of puberty, the type of puberty that I was talking about. Nothing more really. It's just part of growing up.
Vampires, when they are awakening, that is when their energy starts to pour out, because they are so stressed. Most vampires, are just overly stressed humans. That is what the real truth is. Fairies, they are more in touch with their souls, which is why they use magick more giftedly than humans, and that they are stronger, and maintain their fairy-like appearance. That's it. That is why their backs hurt. They don't get real wings, sorry to burst people's bubbles.
By the way, all of the people complaining about the RPing on here, let them have their fun. It does not really matter. They will find others, and leave the main forum, and if not, then just look over it. Don't complain, it draws more attention to yourself.
So, anyways, awakenings aren't very mystical, hmm? Awakenings are more mental than anything, actually, puberty, while it has some physical changes, is more mental than anything. Like I said, awakenings are more just intensified puberty.
Barely any person on this site is an otherkin, especially if someone claims to be a hybrid. It makes no sense, in all honesty. Yes, it can happen, but it is very rare. I think that others need to really meditate and go to the doctor and get check-ups. It could really help them in the future, and then they can really sort through their life and see what is real and what is not. I think that everyone would really benefit from this.
Don't mistake feelings, and weird cravings, and everything else for more than it really is. If it is an awakening, you will know. You will not have to ask, your memories, more than likely, will come back. So I don't think that you need to worry about asking anyone else, if you do need to ask others, then you're not awakening :). Don't misread what the symptoms really are.Really check and see what it is.
Now, I know that I will get a lot of messages or comments on this, pretty much trying to verify to this site, or me that you're going through an awakening... why? If you're a vampire, therian, etc. Then you should already know, and not have to argue with this. If you do, then you probably have not gone through a real awakening.
Like I've said before, The brain does not really use it's full rational thought processes until the early 20's. So I believe that everyone has a right to their own opinion, yes, but I do believe that others should really stop and read this and take a look at the advice given, and talk to your doctor if you feel that something is off. 9/10 they can help you. If it is a real awakening, then I think that you will find some comfort in something, and you will really understand what is going on. Remember, most otherkin did not have a guidance, and they did just fine...
I hope that you all think about this!
