A statement for the "Haters"
I was reading the description for this specific forum, "Twilight". It says something along the lines of "For fans of Twilight, Stephenie Meyer, Edward Cullen, Bella Swan and Jacob Black." I would like to just make a deal of this word "Fans"
Now I am a little annoyed for reading over the posts and seeing a heap of hate posts of the book/ movie when this part of the forum is specifically for fans, in saying that it is a place for people who like the book/ movie and want to express that feeling. They should not do so in fear of people slamming them to the ground by haters who are just immature little brats bored with their lives looking for a fight.
Now trust me when I say this is not to all haters. I am not talking to those more mature lot of haters that say words along the lines of "I do not like Twilight due to this reason..." I am talking to those people who sit there and go "I hate twilight and your stupid for liking it!" I actually really like the mature lot that make conversation and add thoughts and a different perspective to a book I like and my best friend doesn't even like the book and we have had a heap of convos about different aspects of it.
This is a forum (Just as the group "Twilight fan club" is as well) For fans, if you are not a fan I urge you to please go to a group that is "Haters of Twilight" or if there isn't one, make one yourself! Then you can go and say how much you hate it for no reason there. That way you wont get abused and can't sit there and bitch about how you can't voice you opinion and crap when really like I said saying things like "I hate Twilight and your stupid" Is not really voicing your opinion, it is making a childish remark and looking for a fight because you a sad lonely person with no life and your bored.

i understand your points, i must also remind you however that there have been eight posts so far in the last week and a half where i have had to ask individuals to move their "Twilight" related posts into this forum and a lot of the hater posts start when it is in the wrong place. *raises hands in surrender* just saying, but i agree.

You are right. This was supposed to be a forum for Twilight FANS. There were very few negative threads when I first set up the forum category.
What we have here is a tiny minority of very vocal Twilight haters on the forum - maybe a dozen people. I approve about 100 new members a day, and I would say that 1/3rd of them are Twilight fans. They are a HUGE majority, but they are quite quiet on the forum - a lot of them use the Twilight groups. They probably feel safer there.
What I don't understand about these haters, is, if they don't like Twilight, why do they have to go ON and ON about it obsessively all the time? Don't they have better things to do with their lives?
Anyways, I am pretty sick of these hate threads. I don't mind reasonable criticism, for example if you think there is a fault in the book or a flaw in Edward's character - but this vocal ganging up and bashing of Twilight has got to stop.
I would like to propose a vote. This vote is for Twilight fans ONLY.
Do you want me to delete the negative threads from the Twilight forum, or would you rather answer them?
Do you want me to start warning or banning people who are persistent Twilight bashers?
Shall I delete the (very few) Twilight hate groups from the site, or would you prefer the haters go express their views there?

I do not believe you need to worry about deleting all the bad posts, just ignore them or actually giving them a warning and if they get to persistent with them then I would like you to put a temporary ban on them. I don't mind what they do in other forums/ groups at all, just not "Fan groups" I think it shows a lack of maturity that they would seek out fan groups to say how much they hate them, and you are right in the fact that they do go on and on about it even though they "hate" it so much. Also in no way do I want you to delete the "Twilight haters groups" at all, the whole point is I want them to bash twilight in those groups and not in the fan groups.

Hi Qarrien,
What we've done is moved all of the hate/fight threads into a different forum - one called The War Zone. We're going to put all the arguments from the forums there. If anyone persistently posts hate stuff in this forum, I may take action against them, otherwise, they can go and whine in The War Zone.
The good news is, the hate threads were only a tiny fraction of the threads here - they were just some of the more active threads because they got people stirred up.

Thank you very much for that, a war zone sounds very interesting :) I am glad to know that things actually get done on this sight when issues are raised. I think you are doing a wonderful job keep it up! I understand that it was only a small number I just thought even a small amount was inappropriate and needed to get pulled into line before it got out of hand.

I don't like Twilight but i think the people who say stuff like "i hate Twilight its stupid just like you" and stuff.
people made that group for people who like Twilight and want to talk about it.
not so immature people can say stupid and pointless things.
if you want to say how much you hate it than at least give a good reason and say your opinion

I get what you are saying. And I don't mean to offend anyone when I post one about how I don't really like twilight. I mean the book is really good and the movie ok. But it just annoys me that girls are obsessed so much that they are blind to reality. Again I mean no offence. Truly though, if someone doesn't like twilight then they should stay away from the book, movie, and conversations that deal with it. I really think that people that bash twilight that bad should get over it and get a life. Or just start a category of their own that is for twilight haters and not invade the twilight fans space. =3
