Does anybody know anything about the archangels?
I'm writing story and all the stuff I found about angels makes them seem flat. I was wondering if anybody knows anything about their actual character.

Well you could give the angels different psychic powers to suit the different types of angels like fallen, arch, etc. Plus you could make up your own history and types instead of going along with what's already written; like fallen angels could be good but collect souls for hell and archangels could be like mentors to new angels and just stuff like that instead of everything being exactly like it's written because it's hard to find stuff like that about angel's as far as i can tell.

The Old Ones were the Angels and Archangels.
The Old Ones where, the Old Ones are" though controversial this may be I am here to share knowledge so what would I be if I did not try to aid in knowledge of what some would call "spiritual enlightenment."
I will never speak directly of god worship of any kind. Nor do I believe in doing it but my reasons are my own.
"A great many older religions may believe that Old Ones are the beings that existed at the creation of the universe and everything in it, possibly considered to be minor gods or deities or of co-existing with gods. It is an uncommon term for a creator being but not completely unheard of, though it should be noted that Old One would be the English term for a number of words in other languages."
To start this topic off. I first wish to ask you to take this vary seriously.
Most of the Old Ones where created before the existence of time and space thus some will say they have always been sense beginning though some where created after the realization of the perception of time they have vary acute ability to discern who among them is older even before the existence of such a scale could be created. "In the Beginning there was darkness"
"Book of Genesis
1:1 - In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
1:2 - And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
1:3 - And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
1:4 - And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness."
Threw a scientific stand point this was the Big Bang.
The Old Ones where created from a part of God or the creative force called God, Shiva, or any other plethora of names. Each after was weaker then the last. Only the first two where created as direct images of God.
When light came though the exact style of creation of all is not important the Old Ones witnessed it and they became awake and aware of the world and all the things in it, and as time wore on the Old Ones where given form and they knew the meaning of spirit, of emotion, of being and existing.
Such is as the creation threw the eyes of the old ones.
The Old Ones have been called many things over the years they often take incarnations of whatever they are needed to be. Though vary different from man in both body mind and spirit they do gain power from worship enough to take the place of what man calls a god during the days of Polytheism the Old Ones would often take up a place as the incarnation of the god that most resembled them perhaps it is embed in the vary subconscious of man to see these old ones as gods to fear and worship them. Though often an Old One will remain the same yet take different forms. Examples are when the polytheistic Greeks and Romans took the same gods and just renamed them to what we now consider the names of the planets. As you might guess all the Gods of the word where wide spread worship was bound numbering in the hundreds of thousands even to the millions the Old Ones took over these potions and became the objects of worship though they remained as they where in persona, they would often inspire more worship, or pay no heed to mortals at all. Some of the Old Ones even took the form of more then one God. As multidimensional beings they are not bound to existing in one place at the same time.
As time wore on and the Gods where forgotten some of them became mortal others persisted and became other incarnations of existence the personification of demons angels. Though there is some question as to the order in time the Old Ones do not fully grasp the concept until they are mortal. As most often they exist above the realm of mortality and border beyond immortality. They find themselves reborn again and again often developing new minds to adapt to there lives that they can never seem to be rid of they often lay dormant until such time as they are awakened either threw trauma or threw there own recollection.
Some of the Old Ones are masters of manipulation both of energy and power, others have the ability to stir the hearts of mortals often becoming the subject of much affection. Though they find life boring they often find themselves in positions of teaching due to there vast collections of knowledge however the longer they exist the more there other persona become a part of them and often lead to complications in there existence. Often they cannot fit in to the human world due to there instabilities at times and quick and dramatic mood changes often bordering on psychotic and often mistaken for MID, but this state passes after they stabilize in there mind and soul and they become one creature. They can become vary violet and short tempered, they are something you should never seek to anger as often they will deliver swift judgment and depending on there intent can cause harm to those who anger them even leading to death of the interloper or offender.
