Elders ........what is an elder?

Lets sink our teeth into this one,lets see where fact takes us in the REAL Vampire world, and see if we can educate you alittle in the truth about why one is considered an elder, I am ready for rollplayers as well.

Permalink Reply by tony on March 9, 2009 at 5:07am: An Elder is determaned by the age you awaken not how old you are, an Elder is someone over an awakening of 12 yrs or more regardless of their age,..for example and its not rocket sience,if some one is 51 but awakend at 45 he/she is not an elder but if someone 30 and awakend at 18 then they are and elder,...Note: real vampires are mortal so please no 1,2 or3 hundred year old rollplayers, so lets be real about this, since the topic of an elder is a touchy one.; ▶ Reply to This

There are mentors, that are older than the one that they are guiding, though thats about it. Usual mentor are older than the one that have just awakened. True real vampires are human, though no one in the community has lived longer than 103 years of age and then dies[sorry to put it like that] stating that there is no such thing as elder. Anyone that is stating that they are the age of 200, 4900, 48473 yeah all of that are pretty much rp or far from real.; ▶ Reply to This

I'm going to be 31 years old in the end of May, and I have learned from trial and error. Needless to say we are all learning more every day , however to rank up there to be able to reach the skill of mentor or teacher you must have mastered more than usual,so would you be a" senor vamp" maybe that term would suit us best ,

all terms have there meanings but all in one way or another overlap each other, so teacher and mentor seem to overlap and mean the same thing... well so does senor and elder.., after all every one that has been a senor rather in high school, the armed forces,the police force,even in regular every day jobs those who have seniority, those that have been around longer and know more are referred to as your elders as they teach the new hires the ropes,...so why would our community be any different, why would you not consider your self an elder due to your knowledge and understanding , i am thinking that the term elder is being blown out of proportion and it should be kept simple and analyzed.; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by tony on March 11, 2009 at 12:34pm: None of us understand or will never really understand the true meaning of the word Vampire,maybe it is not even the right word period, but we use it for it describes us ,so why would the term elder be any different, I mean if i have been bashed and educated during my awakening and have worked my way up the ladder and learned much that others do not understand or take seriously would most certainly label me a senor Vampire passing on what i know about sanguine to other sangs,

However just because am not a Psy Vampire or know much about them , it would not disqualify me as a master in the sanguine community or a senor blood feeder that would certainly label me a master in safe blood play and safe blood feeding since I have mastered it,...notice how many times the word master is used in place of teacher.
