i think because they have extra improved senses that they can taste the most amazing thing they have ever tasted when they drink blood. their most exotic taste is what blood tastes like to them. i dont think it IS bland to them, just that it becomes bland. after tasting what life is they love it most. most people would taste different i supose so its like a never ending variety of our favourite brand or softdrink. ttyl.xx

Actually i think that because of heightened senses they could taste the parts that aren't so tasty, like all the additives, chemical flavoring, just the general non natural taste of all the processed food, blood is "pure" and natural (assuming the 'donor' isn't a drug addict or anything lol) so it'd just taste better.

thats an interesting thought. and probably more scientific and factual than mine.lol. but what if their extra sences made the food taste better becoz the additives and stuff tasted good. i dont think we'd really know unless someone tasted the additives by themselves.

i very much agree with that theory Rob, that the additives and all the crap are more noticeable. when the body changes from human to vampire...a lot of things change. the desire to eat normal food diminishes. the taste buds just seem to reject a lot of normal human flavours...mainly starches i've heard are the worst. but i've also heard that sugary foods are still craved a lot, and i think thats because theres sugar in blood, so thats maybe why the taste for sugar is still there...

I try to cook stuff straight out of the garden. its fresh and no 'other' flavours. Because of our heightened senses we can taste all the flavours, unlike most humans. I believe food can never taste bland, maybe boring or usual, but never bland. Well there is always exceptions but i wont go into that. and gross.... well all depends on your opinion of nice and horrible food. example as a kid you may say cucumber tastes gross, and an other may say its nice.

by the way. when i say flavours it includes chemicals and additives (but not so much)
