Well it all dpeends, personally, it's good to have a few really close friends, but you shouldn't be comepletely alone because it can make you really aggressive and it could affect your mentality.

I do have a few friends, but other wordly, I'm alone, I try to keep myself isolated from others.

I say its better to have a few close friends than have a perfect social life cuz when ur hanging out with so many ppl u can't know for a fact if they wont talk behind ur back or hurt u...that my opinion anyways.

when i wos at school, i had loads of friends and a couple really close ones, and then i started to get sick and had to leave school, and i lost all of them, and ive neva seen them again, since then ive had one best friend who's also home educated.....but ive come to realise that you need lots of people, or it can be lonely.
since i left all my friends at school, ive never found people who i get on with so well, leaving them was worst thing ive ever done, and ive regreted it eva since.
.....but ive also been very hurt by people, so i tend to keep my distance and never let anyone to close, but thats mainly cos i havent found anyone i can completly trust, with my feelings.
i just think avoid people who hurt you, because being friends with the wrong people, just so u dont look like a loner, wont make you happy.....search for the right people who accept you and make you happy, even if that means being alone until you do, or otherwise you'll get hurt..

I'm always a loner though. I'm afraid to let anyone close to me....I don't knowwhy,it's jus the way i am

well i woldnt say being alone is the best but i not having a great social life either.i think you should have a just a coupple of friends is the best beacuse then your not completly alone and your not having loads of people around

There is no such thing as a "perfect social life" lol. not in high school, not in the real world, not ever. i think that its about balance. i think that its good to have time to be alone and away from others as well as having an outlet for socializing.
