I'm sick of hearing rants. This is my rant about rants.
First, I see rants that don't even make sense. Some rants are about Twilight being hated by Otherkin. Oh how hypocritical is that? First, Twilight is already liked, and we can have our own opinion. We can try to influence you, and you push back. Big deal.
Another kind of rant that doesn't make sense is a rant without proper grammar? What the bloody hell does that tell us? Nothing!
This type of rant I hate the most. The type of rant that insist that the writer is right and there shall not be no argument. If you decide to post a discussion, you will have to expect some kind of argument. A exemplification is the entire concept of Otherkin. The demand for proof is overwhelming. And another issue is that all you're doing when demanding proof is further angering us.
Then, there's the empty rant. The rant the gives the appearance and attitude of a rant, but in the end has no meaningful or useful information whatsoever.
The safety warnings overload rants are also a rant I that HATE. No one really on this site will listen to those safety warnings because people on this site are young and foolish. If you're still posting a safety warning, forget it, you're just wasting your time because of 90% of the site does not use forums. One or two after a while is okay, but after the three recent General discussions featured are discussions about safety. There are many great discussions that should be featured, but no one bothers.
Look, rants may be a way to vent your anger, but they're not a way of communicating or teaching anyone anything. You need to have patience and be calm to teach someone or to amuse, or to share any form of knowledge. Otherwise, frankly you're wasting my time and your own time trying to teach others with rants.

Ironic isn't it? Not that I am tyring to offend at you all.
Please don't get the wrong impression.
It is nice to have safe warnings.
However, you are correct.
No one uses them.
In fact, not everyone, but the majority don't read nor will they listen.
It is how it is and will remain that way.
But the few who reads are well armed with knowledge of precaution.
