Response to the Complainers
Ugh. I go on here a lot, to hear stories from other fans or get news on the movie that I may not have known because I don't have internet. And all I see on the Twilight Discussion boards is people whining about it. Okay, yeah, people do make a big deal out of it. But there are reasons, and there are pros about it. I never read vampire books before it, and now I'm obsessed with the genre and started my own series. Stephenie Meyer even helped me improve my writing skills before. So here are the things you guys complain about:
1) Rob Pattinson is ugly
And some people think Brad Pitt is, or Johnny Depp, and Leonardo DiCaprio, and some people don't. If you really want to see why some girls scream because of him, see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. But if you don't feel up to it, whatever. Everyone has their own tastes. Human nature.
2) Vampires Don't Sparkle
Puh-leeze. And a few of them don't burn, a few of them require jewelry to go in the sunlight. Some just need sunscreen. The only things about vampire fiction that always remains the same is their appetite for blood. Every writer has to use their imagination so their story will stand out. Sorry that Stephenie Meyer is a rebel. It's not against the law.
3) Way too over-publicized.
Yeah, well so was Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, the Da Vinci Code, and Star Trek. There's nothing you can do about it. Usually when a lot of people like something, it's GOOD! So saying you hate it like a mortal enemy when you never gave it a chance is so hypocrtical. Just say you don't care for 500-hundred page books or heavy white makeup and move on.
Don't like my speech? Feel pissed off? Then go to Emo Support and cry it off. You certainly belong there more than here anyways.
