My second discussion in a day.. that's unlike me, ha.
I'm EXTREMELY nervous about the SAT/ACT, *I'm taking both* SO I really want to be able to pass them, and be able to do well on them. Math is NOT my best subject, by far, but other subjects are. I know that I should not be taking the SAT if I'm not good in math, but oh well, lol. I think that I really want to be able to get get into the college I want to be able to get into, so I mean I think I need to get a good SAT/ACT score. I want to get into West Georgia it's a GREAT college here, and it means that me getting away from my small hick town, and being able to live near ATL, and I will be living "on my own" I will be living on campus. I'm extremely excited, because all of my friends have already gotten accepted.

SO, this is for all of the people that have taken it *either or*
How was the math section?
What did you find the most difficult to you?
What was your score..

and anything else you wanna throw in that would be good :) Just ease my nerves about this god forsaken test!

I have taken the SATs.

The math section was mostly Algebra II and Geometry on the SATs. The SATs don't have Trigonometry, but require more thinking and critical analyzing. The ACTs require more memorization instead of thinking and critical analyzing.

The most difficult was the geometry, I have to say.

My score was 790 on Math and 780 on Reading.

I absolutly suck at Math... my SATs were science, Math, Algebra 2 and Geometry, and a little Trig. again I Suck at Math...i had to ask for an abucus, because i couldn't do the problems on the stupid calculator... yeah i always got made fun of for that. but my math score wasn't too bad, but since i was unaware of the testing day, my score was really low....:(

ACT test is pretty easy.
It is mostly reading and analyzing.

The SAT I am not sure. I have replaced it in taking the ACT test instead.

Haha, I KNOW I will do good on the English part, no doubt, English is my forte, seriously, lol.. just MATH.. *cringe*

I had a horrible Math teacher, she always wanted to sex her students up, rather than teach them the subject. I passed that with a 70.. by her good graces, lol. Math has never been my strong point, EVER. I mean I'm good in all other subjects, REALLY good in Social Sciences, Science, and English EVEN FOREIGN LANGUAGE, just NOT math... lol
So I'm studying my SAT books out the ass, and I hope that I will eventually get better at it. I'm looking at the Tricks that the SAT likes to make you fall for. It really helps, at least I think. Just some of the stuff on there is EXTREMELY complex! I hate having to work out that much, because 1) I don't KNOW it 2) It's hard as hell and 3) There are usually hidden equations within the problem itself. I'm NOT a logical thinker, period.. so I guess that's why I do so poorly on the math section.

I will see what my score will be, I want to at least get a 1500 on it, and on the ACT I want to get at least a 25. We will see how well I do. On the College I want to get into, I need to get at LEAST a 410 on the Math section, and 430 on the Reading.

really i think that if you just calm your nerves and focus on all subjects you'll do absolutly fine... take breaks before the test get a good nights rest and just let your natural abilities go...

don't do what i did, i had no idea when the test was, and walked into class and was shoved right back out the door with a #2 pencil and a calculator...

didn't do so well so i going to take it again... so yeah im in the same boat my friend
