i have one...a very old black dragon. i did have 3 when i was very first starting to awaken a few years ago, there was a silver female and a young green male...i find that they come to you when you need them the most, but you can call for them in your dreams too. if your interested...i started a thread about spirit guides a little while ago...heres the link...

i miss the young male. he was fun, its sad when they leave, but at the same time it means you're strong enough on your own without them. the dragon i have as my guide now is always in his cave, so i only go to him when i need him...otherwise he typically leaves me alone.

i also have a spirit guide\ guardian angel, according to my book on tarot cards you are supposed to ask for your spirit guides help so no harmful spirits can take advantage of you while you lay out the tarot cards on the table, and if you don't something bad might happen

really? the book i'm talking about is called Simply Tarot Wealth Love Destiny
it's written by Amanda Hall she is from Australia this book was published in 2005 so maybe you can find it on the net if not i can write the paragraph about spirit guides on this page?

I've needed one my whole life. I wonder if I've had one, and not known it. My mother always did say I had a guardian angel.

a guardian angel is different then a spirit Guide, A guardian angel protects you maybe once or twice in your life, a Spirit Guide, is there from the beginning til he/she feels that you can go on your journey alone.

Well, according to my mother, I've always had a "guardian angel" of some variation.. There have been a multitude of times I should have died, my whole life. And SOMETHING must have helped me get through my turbulent childhood...

I have 3 spirit guides that contact me, they have different attributes and varying degrees of power. The spirit guide that contacts me most and helps me with this current life is Kate. Kate has the ability to help me read others and can accurately predict the future along with helping me choose the correct path. Another of my guides the chinaman is much more powerful and contacts me less frequently. He has the ability to protect me from harm and also can heal my physical form as well as in extreme situations remove me from my earthly body altogether. The 3rd is my animal guide the bear. This guide manifests itself only within a state of deep meditation.
Having walked the earth since the dawn of time these guides have always been with me sometimes in the physical form as associates within the life form that I inhabit at that time. I look at the whole spirit guide thing as a kind of cosmic family that will find you be they currently living or inhabiting the other dimension
