I know the majority of real vampyres speak out against role play and role playing games because it differs from the real thing. But I am not in that boat. I don't see what harm can come from fantasy games, or even pretending that one is a vampyre even when they are not. By doing so, they take a part of our struggles and way of life, and act them out in a way that is pleasing, even exciting. They entice a bit of darkness and opportunity into their lives.

Fantasy is different. But without it, how can any of us explore?

However, let this also not deter us from who we really are and being able to explore our true paths.

It brings the slightest joy to me in the damned world we live in. My partner ( who is also a vampyre like myself) thinks of it as idol worship. He enjoys going to "vampire gatherings" and seeing their perspective of us. As far as capes, and fake fangs go, I believe thats merely a result of an over-active imagination.
