I never tend to judge people's definitions of what they are because (like beauty) according to each individual this can be subjective and selective. Despite this I never feel the need or have any incentive to judge: if that individual is comfortable in their chosen path I tip my hat to them. I believe that everyone's power is endless, and with strength you can choose to be whatever you want.. I guess that's sort of a disclaimer. :P

My opinion is solidified by my personal experience as fae, and the experiences and qualities of many of my friends who are also fae. Initially I'm compelled to tell you that something many of us seem to share in is a deep connection with nature, elements, beauty and magic. I have many fae friends who feel a strong affiliation with the ocean in particular.

How do you know you are a fairy? I'd be tempted to tell you trace back your earliest thoughts and memories: secret ambitions, wishes, aspirations from your childhood, and contemplate how they relate to your sense of self right now.
How many of them were linked with nature, magic, beauty, liberty?... Dreams (hallucinations; lucid and otherwise) of flying are common.

What do they look like? ALL of them are beautiful.. Earth's social & media-oriented opinions of 'beauty' aside, and despite physical attributes which even determines physical beauty itself - the colourful heart, soul & mind of a fae radiates itself through the human shell and manifests itself in the form of glow and radiance through that individuals features. Some find this otherworldliness intimidating and the lives of fae are often much more complex than may seem on the surface of their dream-like characters.

no no..angels are totaly different. angels are what humans choose to become after death..more like a spiritual being. Fairies are woodland creatures. Fairies usualy prefer a country, forest type environment. i have seen some in the city but not nearly as much as in the country. As for what fairies can do..no one really knows. They would rather keep that kind of info to themselves then to let it out in the open. They love to prank..are very playful..they can get annoying sometimes when they let the pranks go to far. i can see people being descendants elves, dwarfs, ect. but not fairies. fairies are way to small. I find that the best way to tell elven folk from humans is the ears. the ears are always different. my family's ears are pointy. i just had twins that were born with pointy ears...the nurses couldn't stop making comments on them. lol. I also have a friend who has no ear earlobes. eys are a good way to tell to. my eyes are a bright teal green..almost looks like i'm blind. As for personalties..they can very. But they are mostly extremly brave...dare devil like. playful, will be able to smell the season start to change even though the weather is the same. Can see very well in the dark, have a strange effect on animals, and usualy fears being caged or having their freedom taken away in some way.

Wow thank you guys. Now this just had me wondering... When I was a child, I mostly dreamt about flying powers and gardens with alot of flowers and animals... And this REALLY surprised me... I was talking to my mom and she said that she can somewhat control the elements. I don't know if I can - never tryed - but I love all the elements. And also I get depressed when I am away from the sun too long or in the winter - even if I do like the cold... Well, I will keep looking around and see to make sure "who" I am. lol

Faeries have no particular "standard? appearence. We look how God created us.
You can just tell you are a faerie. You can feel it in your heart - that's what you are.
There is no exact "when" or "how" you realize it - youh just kind of figure it out one day.
My personal favorite faeries (i am one of this kind:) Madrigals. They are half fae + half witch[3

I have always known that I am a fairie. My whole family is. Have you ever heard about the Indian clans that are not aloud to marry out of their clan? Well thats the way it is with my family. But its getting even harder to do this because of where we live there arn't many fairies here anymore. Were thinking about moving but out clan is pretty big. We dont have wings but my family(clan) happins to be lighter and faster than most humans. Our ears are slightly pointed but not to much. Our family has different kinds of fairies. There are earth, wind, water, fire, or spirit fairies. Whatever kind we are, we usually have a greater pull toward that element. I am a earth fairie. I have this little hide out in the forest by our house when i spend most of my time.

I'm a fairy (in a spiritual sense) because I just know I am. I fell in love with them at an earlier age and never stopped believing. Plus, I've had flying dreams too often to not understand the double meaning behind them. I've always felt "different" and I now know why.

"What do they look like?" Too many sizes, colors and shapes to talk about... just look up nymph, fairy, siren, mermaid, brownie (mythological being), sylph, pixie, sprite (again, myth being), etc. on wikipedia or google and there's your answer.

"What are their powers?" It varies according to what type of fairy one is. Sirens can sing so beautifully/eerily they lure seamen into the rocks. Mermaids... well you know. Brownie... don't exactly remember but I think it's something like a house elf, being that can help with house-held chores. The others mentioned above I'm not so sure about. But I know that those associated with certain elements (fire, water, etc.) can manipulate them, like a water fairy controls rain.

"When do you realize you are a fairy?" It all depends on what you experience in your lifetime or how you've felt about yourself and your connection, or lack thereof, with them. One may see a fairy as they walk along a forest trail one night and feel safe because they know they're with one of their own kind. Or one may see a fairy in a dream/meditation and you just "know".

theyre size is just like a size of a finger and they have butterfly like wings and i just read it in fairy tales ehehehhe dunno every thing about them coz amjust human that fascinated in paranormal
