i will post my theories of this based on the research i've been working on. (im aware that the things im reading could be totally and completely false, so i do take it with a grain of salt) there are vampires who are born that way, im still trying to figure out how. most people online away from this site refer to them as "inheritors" because they naturally inherited the thing that makes a person a vampire. im starting to think that the physical vampire condition (i say this because there are people who are not physically vampires, but vampires in soul) is more of a genetic mutation than a virus or parasite or infection. I think that the gene is dominant in some and recessive in others. just like eye and hair colour. which is how 2 "humans" can produce a child that is a vampire. they were both carrying the gene and passed it to their offspring, where it was dominant in their child and not dominant in them. I've been reading that they go through a sort of physical awakening as they mature into adulthood if that gene (if it is a gene) is dominant in their body. similar to the soul awakenings we discuss here but its all physical. sort of like puberty. the gene or whatever it is, if dominant in the body apparently becomes active in the persons body around this time and they start the physical change.

i just tried add something to that last post but i guess i took too long because it didnt save...lol. but i was going to pose a question to everyone...to see if they have any ideas for me...
the only issue i have with the concept of the physical vampire condition being genetic...is how "turning" would happen. So i was thinking that maybe theres something in the blood...the cells maybe...perhaps this mutation changes the physiology enough that its no longer human in anyway. so i was thinking that when the blood is exchanged, that the vampire's cells attack the human cells and overtake them...totally taking control of the host body...but i was wondering what people thought of that idea and what other ideas they have...if you have an idea other than genetics i would love to hear it...im determined to figure this out. i dont care how many years it takes...but i WILL figure this out.
Well I don't know much about genetics. So I can't really help there...sorry. A dormant gene sounds interesting though. And I'm even considering what Weslie said too. Basically I'm trying to gather as much information as I can to help determine what all I'm capable and such. There are many things people have shared with me that would make sense...and others that...seemed just a bit over the top. So I'm still trying to figure everything out. Which is why I asked about this subject...never thought about asking before until that one discussion we were in. So thank you! I also would like to hear more peoples inputs on the subject. I'm very curious and always eager to learn.
Like previous statements, in my research and from own personal experience, natural born vampires, like ones with human parents, actually have a genetic defect of a dormant animal gene that lives inside of normal humans and somehow was activated by evolution. Somehow the animal gene increases excess adrenaline, and basically turns 'off' the ability to think for themselves and resort to a 'Flight or Fight' situation. It's like when you see something terrifying and you concentrate on that and nothing else except it is magnified profoundly.
