Well,I think if you get into genetics, humanity is probably the dominant allele, but maybe they could be cross-bred. If being a fairy is a recessive allele, then you would be human, but if you mated with another fairy or half-fairy there would be a 1/4 chance of you having a fairy child. Maybe I'm applying science to the wrong thing, but that's just my thoughts. Maybe it's not really genes that determine this, but your soul. All in all, I really don't have a clue. Sorry.

That's fine. I like hearing others' opinions. I think that it is your soul... well, actually I believe that if a fairy and a human mated that it would just automatically be half and half. But within my religion, you choose the situation that you are going to be in (Your spirit chooses the body) so, I guess it could be both...?

the genes of the Fae would be the dominant ones. they run in my friends family. they do seem to skip generations though as she is Fae and her 4 year old cousin also has it (not her mom, or her aunt or her sisters) I think that if one of your parents was Fae there is a possibility that it could be hereditary and passed on to you, but its not for certain as it does seem to skip generations.
