Permalink Reply by Jan Denn on February 10, 2009 at 4:17pm: I disagree with some of your points. Human souls are can only become earthbound, not by choice, but by circumstances which are either of the following:
1. Unexpected death: leaves the soul "clueless" about his/her death making him/her do the usual tasks he does when he/she was still alive. They become confused why people dont interact with him/her.
2. Unnatural death: according to Paracelsus, a soul can only be truly free if he/she dies due to the course of Nature, that which excludes car accidents, tripping from the stairs and homicide. Only when the time of the natural "destined" death (e.g. a disease or due to old age) comes will the soul is free to go.
3. A strong emotion felt immediately preceeding death. The soul holds on to such emotion, not by choice but by the vibration caused by such emotion, thn it encapsulates the spirit, making the spirit act on such emotion.
4. Not all spirits you see are actual intelligent essences of those who are dead. Many of them are merely "psychic echoes" of the past events who seemingly take form of the deceased and the events they took part of, making them repeat the events in some sort of time loop, enabling psychic perception such as psychometry. Still more others are merely astral bodies or Doppelgangers (which are different from the souls) which, like the decaying physical body, will disentegrate into its astral elements in due time.
5. Souls can never be Guides (technnically speaking). Although visiting souls can "guide" the living, they can never be compared with Spirit Guides who belong to another class of beings.; ▶ Reply to This

Hey what class does Spirit Guides belong to? And also, why then have I had a spirit tell me it had died ina war with a fire in the forest, when what you say is that they cannot guide you, but he helped me after I asked him to guide me for a while. He agreed.
