I'm a writer on the verge of publishing a teen series soon about the world of dreams, and was curious: what would your dream book be? What would be the perfect story that wouldn't be too corny or too scary? I'm striving for perfection, if that wasn't obvious. And it's a multi-genre story, too (high school drama, supernatural, horror, romance, etc.) so be creative as you want.
My dream story is going to copy Twilight and Vampire Diaries.
Girl moves to new town, girl meets guy, girl likes guy, guy is a vampire, girl finds out, vampire slayers come, guy and family kill vampire slayers and girl asks boy to turn her. The End.
Because they never happen. Ever. Happy endings + life do not work. It's like if you're watching a horror movie or something like that, the ones that are the scariest are the ones which might possibly be real. They're believable. And happy endings aren't.
I will if I can...but most of my stories lack happy endings anyways, so I guess Dragonsflame gets his wish...think of the Final Destination movies, I suppose, where everyone thinks they can stay alive, but yeah, they end up dead anyways.
