or a much simpler method just use some old beer bottle glass take a wet cloth crush it whit a hammer and then you can look at the sun through that glass piece though i would recomend dark brown glass instead of clear glass

ooh you know what you can do though? if you get a big telescope (one of the ones with the little eye piece that you can move round) and point it at the sun only dont look through it, and hold a piece of white paper where you would look in it and you can see all of the so called cool spots on the surface of the sun.

yeha i would but solar eclipse glasses are a bit hard to get hold of round here (as in i've never heard of them before coz we havent had a solar eclipse in this country in the last 20 or so years)

have you tried watching directly at the sun whit solar eclipse glasses, whit them you can see the flames move on the sun it's really cool, like a huge bon fire
midnightrose Comment by midnightrose on August 3, 2009 at 10:27am
i would do that but even looking close to it in the sky is too painful for me. i think i'll stick with watching fires burn
Hawthorne Nightchild Comment by Hawthorne Nightchild on August 2, 2009 at 10:57pm
it's not just u, trust me. i know they say u shouldn't but some times i look into the sun and it's like i'm getting pulled in....it's hard to look away.
midnightrose Comment by midnightrose on August 1, 2009 at 12:47pm
yeh and its almost hypnotic the way the flames move around, or is that just me?
