vampire fairy twilight goth emo punk sk8er meeting place

I know everyone else is probably way ahead of me here as far as reading the Twilight saga. I just got to the part in Eclipse where Bella "realizes" she loves Jacob....I was so mad. I mean come on! I know she had an attachment to him but the way she acts when he tries to kiss her that first time (well succeeds), she even wanted Edward to hurt him!!!

Sorry but I guess I just don't believe in being able to love two people at the same time. And I mean especially as intense as her love with Edward is? I mean they spend every night together and you never hear her wishing it was Jacob lying beside her and then bam, out of the blue she "thinks" she loves Jake? I myself think maybe it's just a little regret at leaving the human life behind? What do you guys think?

Also did you find it kinda unrealistic as well???

I think thats she only 'thinks' she loves jake because even though she wants to be a vampire but is afraid to do so because she's holding on to her humanity by holding on to jake

See now that is what I thought too. I finished the book now and went on to read the first chapter of Breaking Dawn at the very end. It is very hard to believe she is in love with Jake when she talks about and is around Edward....even when her mom asks if she will ever want anyone else she just says no, without a thought of Jake. It seems to me too that being without Jake doesn't even compare slightly to that 'hole' she had when Edward was gone. I have to say that he was wonderful at controlling his temper. If I'd have been in Ed's shoes I know I would have given her an ultimatum. He is so amazing.

yeah, I think that Edward is too considerate. If he hadn't left her in the first place, she wouldn't have ever gotten that close to Jake, so he probably blames himself. I think that you can love more than one person at a time, but your right. She never wishes it was Jacob instead of Edward sneaking in her room at night.

Have you read Breaking Dawn yet?

Yeah I didn't like when edward let the thing going on between bella and jacob either. I was like come on edward sweep her off her feet and away from him! sry but thats my opinion. I never really have been a big fan of jacob.

I hate Jake. and yea Edward should have given her an ultimatum. He is waaaay too forgiving. I don't see how she could be so unfair to him after knowing what it's like to be without him. If he were mine I would have let him know he had nothing to worry about. He didn't deserve the way she treated him at all!

personally i believe that....
1-bella liked/loved jacob in a brother way.
2-bella was deeply hurt by edward, but could not get over him, because he was half (if not all) she was
3-she found if she clung to jacob, she found edward in herself.......dangerous situations gave her edward voice.
4-plus edward wanted bella to live a mortal life, and jacob gave her that, more or less.
it made edward .......happy that bella was still mortal, even if it was at the cost of him "sharing" her with another.

I didn't like the fact that when Jake kissed bella the second time Edward didn't do anything about it. I do think it is kinda unrealistic because she loves edward so much and then lets jake kiss her its not right. I will admit though Edward can control his temper much better that i can. If i was Edward with his strenth lets just say his jaw would have been broken or more than just a jaw.

Yeah. I was mad too. But I think it's more need than love. And it's kinda explained in the Breaking Dawn. And I like Edward's attitude. He loves her and wants her to be happy, so he's extremely unselfish and a bit masochistic. It makes perfect seance if she is was matters to him more than he himself.
(I'll have to work on my English. It's a bit rusty...)
