umm questions

what exactly is a fairie? how would one know if they were one? is the whole magical powers thing accurate? i have a friend who is confused as to what she might be..im a psi/saug. hybrid vampire...and i know she isnt vampire..but she does give off an enormous amount of energy and never realy seems to loose it..very wise beyond her years,and at the same time very youthful..right now it seems the only possibilities are either elven or fae..any help would be very much apreciated
