What do you think?

So a few weeks ago i was reading a book (it was interesting) and there was this part where it say that "Names hold power" this intrigued me.
Knowing someones name does hold a lot of power in my eyes.
Without knowing a persons name it is hard to get that power cause you don't know them.

So what do you think ?
Do names hold power (not magic power) ?
