fairies and vampires

vampire fairy twilight goth emo punk sk8er meeting place

Ok I decided to start this so people would be able to read different facts on and about fairies. Any one who knows something feel free to put it down.

Like most people beleive that faires only reside in Europe when in fact they can be found world wide. Not all the faires are sweet and inocent like they appear in movies, but some can be quite malisious.

No I don't have a short memory. I just don't remember specific things for specific sources. I do not have a short attention span. I just pretend to because if I was like all those other smart people I would be boring. Plus, you have met Luke, I grew up with that nutjob. I have the mind of a sixteen year old DUDE. You haven't met my father either. He is MORE preverted than Luke and I spent most of my childhood with him (until he got kicked out muhahaha). My childhood was screwed up

roflmfao. Wow I'm hyperventalating it's so funny. Yeah you do. You have the kind of mind that no matter what someone says you find something perverted about it.

I've done a lot of research of fairies since I've been writing my Crystal Keeper Chronicles series. I base my books on Fairy Legends. In my Renaissance Acting Guild, we perform a fairy show based on fairy myths and legends. Definately, fairies are not sweet and innocent. Some are tricksters with others more as protectors. I've discovered myths for fairies not only in Ireland, but in Hawaii as well. In Hawaii, they are called Menehune.
Some of the books I've collected on my travels in researching fairies:
Tales of the Menehune compiled by Mary Kawena Puku'i
The Green Man: Spirit of Nature by John Matthews
Legends, Charms and Superstitions of Ireland by Lady Wilde (Oscar Wilde's mother)
Fairies and Magical Creatures by Matthew Reinhart and Robert Sabuda
Some items I found were interesting. Facts such as:
Ley Lines as fairy paths.
Neolithic Arrowheads found by people in Ireland, England and Wales were believed to be fairy tools. So the legends explained that the fairies had exited the lands and left their tools behind. I think Tolkien might have used this legend to help explain why the elves left the lands to humans.
Many fairy tales are explanations for the way the world works, just like other myths. Changelings are fairies left behind when a good human child is taken. This might have explained childhood disease. The sick child was labeled a changeling.
So, that's a few gems of things I found out. Hope it gives a better picture that all fairies don't have wings, and some are tricksters and make trouble just like humans do. They seem to be a reflection of the human imagination that invented them.

Yes, very much so... Moonlight has been associated with them for a very long time. Its even sometimes refered to as "another" element when dealing with the fey.

I've always had a hard time believing that someone (especially born to HUMANS) could be either. Most of the fey I've interacted with really havn't had quite an interest in humans.... occasionally you will hear of someone with faerie blood in their bloodlines but that is increasingly rare. Most people who say theyre vampires are just obsessed with the pop culture and want to be one. Though it would be very rare... I do believe it would be possible to meet one though. (I've met both faeries and vamps through astral travel...)

Eh fey blooded humans are becoming much more common. Because a lot of feys like humans and end up with them. Especially species like pixies, water faeries, and sprites whose entire life is spent around humans an depends on them.

Yes Periwinkle I think it is possible. See at first I didn't know but I heard from a friend on this site that we're like humans in the fact that we can breed with the other races. I'm still unsure though.
