*Collapses on a bed of plucked roses while my gaze falls on the glowing scars on my arm.*
"His touch was so...magical." I whisper as the tip of my fingers glide over the marks. *Closes eyes as memory floods my mind*
The day started out the same as always. It had almost been 60 years since i had left Mirkwood and decided to live among the faires. My folk could never undestand my decision, part of me couldnt either but the soothing sensation that engulfed me when i was around these mystical creatures made me stay.
Some welcomed me with open arms and were fascinated by my stories, others looked at me as if i were some plague, i couldnt entice everyone i supposed.
But that day, as i let my feet touch the bed of the river and marveled in its coolness i felt the inmistakable presence of a fairy. I could not tell whether they were looking at me or not. I stilled my beating heart and concentrated on the waves.
"So, you are the one they speak of?" It was a masculine, resonant voice. His voice made my skin crawl. And before i could disect the sitautation, he grasped my forearm and tugged me tight against him. His grip was hurting, but i did not say so. His eyes were the hue of blue and silver mixed together.
And then in the next instant, a Whoosh sound filled the air and he grew blue wings from his back, catching the glow of the sun they disected each pigment of light and reflected a rainbow down to his feet then they lifted and took flight as he let go of my arm and flew off into the sky.
Confusion left in his wake.
