Magick, the essence of Witchcraft, is the energy force through which we all interact. Each of us has a connection to this inner power, power that we can use to manifest change in our lives. Through the use of tools, rituals, incantations, and meditation, we allow our minds to tap into universal wisdom and knowledge. This is the art of Magick.
To begin the path of the Witch, the proper frame of mind for Magick work must be observed. In modern scientific terms, this mental state is called Alpha, referring to the type of waves your brain emits when in the relaxed awareness necessary for performing Magick. When you begin each spell, ritual, and psychic working with Alpha, your results will be consistently more accurate and effective.
Beginning Alpha
Find a place where you can relax, such your most comfortable chair. Close your eyes and breathe deeply, letting your body flow into a calm state, allowing the cares and concerns of the day to pass out of your body with each breath. Visualize yourself enveloped in the warm glow of candlelight (lighting a candle helps with this). Begin counting from twenty to one, at which time you should feel relaxed but aware. You are now in Alpha, where your magickal workings are now in tune with the universal wisdom.
Moon phases are very important in the spell casting cycle. They hold love spells power in the strongest peak should the full moon be used correctly. There are many different types of moon phase spell casting, such as full moon love spells and waxing moon love spells!

Merry Meet! I am so new to all of this. Just a baby in everything really -- well except for my age ;-) I wanted to post a greeting and let everyone know that I will probably not post much unless I have a question but will be readily soaking up information you have posted. I have been a member of this group pretty much from the beginning because I have always been interested in witchcraft and Wicca. I have since opened myself up to the Goddess and have been pleasantly surprised by the Path she has led me on. I am here to learn from you all.

alma, a good way to do that is just make or buy a piece of jewelry or something he would carry around. then before you give it to him, set it on a flat surface and suround it with salt. take some water (any kind will do) and put 3 pinches of salt in it (1 for the body, 1 for the mind and 1 for the spirit). as you do this, imagine the item surrounded by white light and try to project all of your protective/healing energy into it. take the water with the salt in it and take a drop of it and put it on the item. say out loud "I send protective/healing energy into this ___ and I will give it to ___." hold your (if you are right handed) left hand over the item and project the energy.
the next time you see this person, give it to them, but to tell you the truth you really should tell him what you are doing, you should never, never do magick for someone unless they know what it it you are doing.

i would like to know where u got this information i have family deeply into the pagan/wiccan tradition i have never heard this befoure and im just wondering.. everyone i know who study this see it as the horned god nothing negative....
Now there is also the upside-down Pentagram. It represents Satan or the world of matter ruling over God. It is the same as denouncing God. To wear it is to attract evil around you. It will not bring good spirits around you. Normally it is only worn by Satanists or devil worshipers. So if you wish to attract good spirits around you... wear it right side up!
