Michael you really should post your poems as discussions...it's hard to follow down...
but nevertheless, "I am a Vampire" and "Wanting for You" scream to me-they're that good:)

Drift Into Darkness

The candle extinguishes in the wind
Blown out without a thought
Into the dark systematically you sink
Stone soul numb to the world
Perpetually you fall
Deeper into the bowls of sorrow
You try to claw your way out
Like someone buried alive
Your mind scraped raw
Bleeds back into your self-pity
Smothered from the misery
You take one long last burning breath
Drinking in the acrid sullen memory
Close your eyes
As phobias comes for you
His brother Deimos for you
You offer no resistance
As they use you for sport
Your soul is theirs
Your mind rebels
And you drift into
Darkness

Wanting For You

The sun shines faded behind the thick clouds
Dense air clings to the body forming beads of sweat
Brushing the hair from sticking forehead
Wondering when or if you will actually arrive
The birds sing out their songs in the trees
All sound sad to me this chorus of whistles
Animals scurry to and fro indifferent to my thoughts
I just sit and stare and wait for what
Godet has come and went yet I stay
No answers to my questions that I seek
Only a faint hope of a single ray
But the clouds barricade the sun
Letting out only a bright hazy glow
The clouds grow darker the light fades
A rumble in the distance gets closer
Yet I stay waiting, wanting, you to appear
A single drop of rain hits the dirt
Freshly dug it yields to the liquid
Then another falls then the sky opens
I seat letting the tears mix with the rain
The gray granite slab stands motionless
I shiver not from the rain but from the reality
No matter how much I yearn, ache, or want
This marker will never cease to be
I fall face first into the mud
There I lay unable to move
I sob uncontrollably
The heavens exploded
I want nothing more
Than to be with you
The rain continues
As does my tears

Omega

Streets filled with bloated bodies
Blood overflows from the gutters
Fetid smell of rot fills the air
That is how my heart looks
Demons shrink when I walk by
Angels weep at my name
Gods turn their heads in shame
Children are sacrificed to keep me away
Where I stride nothing grows
Babies stillborn from my breathe
Suicides from the thought of me
I am what nightmares fear
So take head for I am coming
Run in fear hide your face
One look from me a Medusa turns to stone
I am the one and only destroyer
Death will not come for me
I will come for him
I am the true Reaper
I am Omega

I am a corpse
Walking and talking
Cold dead eyes
Seeing young delicate flesh
Smell of life fills my lust
You want it oh how you need it
I take what I want
My favorite dance
Macabre tango
A drop run downs my chin
With a lick
You are gone

Dancing into the night

Food for the flies

Unholy, undead, unloving Vampire
Humans moo upon the street
Ripe for slaughter I salivate
Sanguine lust is my life
My hunger my only passion
Slake my thirst upon your blood
I ache to insert my fangs
Better than dirty sex
You moan like a virgin
I am the lust of your nightmares
Sex, death, surrender Vampire
The monster under your bed
Coming out in your wet dreams
Taking you to dark ecstasy
Showing you the beauty of the night
Through the pain of my embrace
The agony of the pleasure of the flesh
My sexual thrall
You cry out for more
T am the god of your fear
Erotic, sensual, fornicating Vampire
You writhe so lasciviousness
Tasting your fiery life
Cumming continuously

Sweet Release
The insane chaotic chatter
Was like a long drawn out death rattle
Of a man with terminal turrets
My brained swelled with increasing pain
A pressure cooker of irritability
Rampant annoyance stampeding through my sanity
I want to scream like a banshee
Flee like the fox from the hounds
I sit trembling aftershocks through me
As I try to regain a silver of composure
Trying not to erupt into a violent geyser
Of whirling dervish of destruction
I close my eyes and hope in vain
For enough strength to sustain me
Only for a moment longer
Then sweet release
