NIGHT TIME ANIMALS
Night time falls
Sending sweet sunlight away
And out of the shadows
Predators come to play
When the sun is set
Gone are the rules of day
The sport will be rough
Blood lusting to be spilt
Wounds will be ripped open
Sins will be dealt
Pain
Deep gashes
Crimson blood painting the ground
The game is Chaos
Roll the dice and you are bound
Only the wild and fearless will dance
At such perilous times
Here and now in dusky twilight
Lost in the twisted ness of their own minds
Be careful at this hour
When you hear that knock on your door
If you dare to open
Danger will be in store
And still beware darling,
Sweet, sweet baby
Of the predator inside you
Because despite the rules,
Your animal nature is true
We all feel it,
Aching
Pounding
Hungering
In the blood coursing our veins
Like a voice whispering on the wind
Cooling the heat like soft, sugary rain
So be advised,
And control the beast best you can
Because when the sun finally sets
Feral instincts never give a damn
But for now
Since the light has gone to rest
Our time has come to play
Hurry up you wild,
Dangerous,
Wicked animal
We haven’t got all day
