my story; chapter 2

chapter 2

Mr. Sprague just stared at me as if I had spoken gibberish. “you mean to say that they never told you? Clarise told me herself that you had been told. Well, I guess the bat's out of the bag now. Your parents and I were some of the last vampires left in this world. We were known as the Saviors, because we took children from their homes if it was an unsafe environment, that was how we came by your sister. But you were a totally different matter.”
Just then the bell rang for first period and his expression turned from very serious to very stern in a matter of milliseconds. I was always relieved to have the bell ring so I could get out of the range of the eyes of Mrs. Sight, but now, I just wanted to hear more about Mr. Sprague's disturbing tales. I went back to my seat thinking ' how am I going to get him alone again?'
after school, i decided to go to the library again. just as i was walking to the library, i realized something; was Mrs. Sight the fourth member of their vampire clan? i was thinking on this when i walked in, so i didn't notice that my feet had taken me to stand just in front of the desk.
when i came to, i finaly actualy saw Mrs. Sight clearly for the first time. before i had just seen her as a blurry person with impossibly bright violet eyes who just absolutely hated me for reasons unknown, but now i saw that she had immortaly pale skin, as well as an impeckable fashion sense; she was wering a dark red blouse that matched perfectly with her shoes and fingernails, but her skirt was a strange shade of baige that i just couldn't see as being made of cloth, it seemed more liquid than cloth. i had never actualy noticed the absurd beauty of her facial features, but her eyes had a sort of angelic look to them, and her hair was pinned back and held their as if by magic.
i realized that i was staring at her and i quickly caught myself after getting a good look at her. i suddenly couldn't remember why i had come to the library, but thankfully i was saved by Mr. Sprague.
"ah, Destiny, good you're here. Doreen, i've told her, but not all of it yet so i was hoping that you could help me with the places where i wasn't there, such as when you finaly found her."
"of course, of course. does she know why yet?" she answered
"no, i didn't get to that yet. i left off at where?" he paused for a moment lokking at the lights trying to remember somthing.
"you said you were called the saviors, and that you had taken childeren from their homes if it was unsafe for them there." i piped up.
" thank you, Destiny. as i was saying, you were an entirely different matter than your sister. you see, there is a vampire counsil who passed laws and made sure they were followed. there was one law that banned all cross breeding with other speicies, humans were the main cause of that, the incubis for example. they found out that that rule had been broken so they called us in to them (they never go out of their castle) and told us to go out and find the one responsible for this crime, for they had no idea where he, or she, was. we found who it was and unfortunately the vampire was your mother. she had mated with a siren and you were being made inside the siren, they are all able to bear children. so you were born and the counsil alowed you to live as long as you were never told of your true heritage, but after the counsil was destroyed... we'll get to that later. you were to be brought up by humans but the humans they chose were horrifying, so we came and rescued you. your parents were banned from ever seeing you again, but they still saved you, and they told you what you are. you were only two so you don't remember. there were only 2 problems with this happy little picture; one, a siren is an angel that has been condemmed to a body, and a vampire is a dead human with a demon inside, so you are half angel, half demon, and two,your parents had broken two rules in seeing you and telling you, so they were both put to be killed slowly by the only poison that can kill a vampire; siren blood. your mother was forced to drink your fathers blood, and while that was killing her, it was killing him even more.
