When I first came to my school, I didn't speak. Not a peep. I didn't care to. I didn't want to. It was my choice. Everyone talked to me anyway because they knew about my history. I eventually made a few friends and their friends became my friends, etc. I'm not the life of the party but I'm more open now than I was a few months back. It takes time.
