Anger is only one letter short of Danger.

Down the stairs,
into a deep darkness,
a hidden fear growing,
flowing through this body,
and time stands still.

screaming, scattered whispers,
pain and longing,
masked as one,
holding this body captive,
making me delusional.

Minutes, hours, days,
years passed and gone,
standing still,
and time has flew,
leaving me blue.

I see...
a shimering glow,
sharp and long,
cloaked and tall,
clouded and barren.

I hide...
in a corner,
small,
dark,
and dusty,

It sees...
me shiver in fear,
whimper in hope,
my glowing soul.

It takes...

my fear,
my hope,
my soul,
my life.

Afraid to tell the truth,
Afraid to lie,
Afraid to speak,
Afraid to keep quiet,
Afraid to move,
Afraid to stop,
Afraid to live,
Afraid to die.

A silent sorrow,
A whispered scream,
An invisible scar,
A clean stain,
An empty thought,
A sincere deceit,
And all is simply complex.
