He pulled on his tuxedo for the night ahead, the night he would spend without her but with the one that he had to spend his life with. His wife. He drove to the party thinking of only her and how he wanted her to be in place of his wife.

She lay on the floor with his jacket covering her partially naked body. She lay there staring at the ceiling thinking about what they had done.

Blackness
Complete nothingness
I cannot see

my mum and i are both looking in the car boot for something. a neighbour comes running towards us.
"Do you need any milk?"
"the young ones are not up yet, but we'll take it. if you want?"
i turn to see a green bus comming down the road. it cautiously misses the cars on eith side of the road. there's a box in the middle of the road too heavy to lift. the bus just misses it but skidds and crashes into the wall at the end of the street. all the windows smash on impact the gaggered glass is covered…

Chapter 10
Catryin’s eyes glazed over and stood rigid glued to the spot. Waves of shock hit Adam in his chest from the group all but one was concentrating on the still Catryin. The one. Late on the very first day- what a way to start.
At least Adam wasn’t alone Catryin was flowing closely behind. Their nightly missions were taking them further afield each night. They had come across several nomads who offered their help- they hated the oppression as much as the rest.
