Animal

Locked up inside of me
An animal roars with rage
Wanting, waiting to be released
From its cold, dark cage
I could free it with ease
But then who would i be
I know that someday it could happen
And it eats at me
Filling me with fear, loathing, sadness
I would lose everything i hold dear
I would slip away into madness
It's everything that i fear
