Ghost and Ghast, know the difference! It could save your life.
Yesterday right after my account was accepted I began browsing all the many threads/discussions out there about ghosts and aperisions. Hopefully some of you will come across this blog post and fear no more. The thing that I noticed most is people are getting ghosts and ghasts mixed up or just don't know that there is anything but ghosts. Let me enlighten you.
Ghosts and Ghasts are very similar in how they come about. Both are "created" when someone dies. They are at the least fragments of souls left behind. The biggest difference between a ghost and a ghast is that ghasts cannot be communicated with. Nothing that you do will change what the ghast is doing. It is a fraction of a soul, generally very small, that is left behind. This happens when something terrible has happened (rarely it can be when something extremely joyful has happened) and the piece of torment in the soul is left behind, the memory part of it. Since the memory was left behind it continues to rerun the memory. It can be a play out of the moment that had terrorized the person or it might simply be an impression of the emotion. Ghasts are harmless... up to a point. If you find yourself mentally being pulled into the re-enactment, connecting with the victim, you can be injured (especially if you are afraid). Remember: if you find yourself being pulled into the moment you can simply leave. Walking away is 100% possible and safe. Ghasts cannot follow because they cannot change from that moment they are stuck in.

There are many reasons these people are still here and have yet to move to whatever is beyond this life. Most of the time they just don't know that they are dead... simple as that. It is why exorcism sometimes works on a haunting, it is letting them know that they are dead and need to move on. However, if the spirit is malicious it would be there for another reason: to keep doing what it did while alive, the fear of going to hell, or reluctance to leave something behind. Some spirits stay behind if they need to accomplish something such as getting a message to a loved one or passing on an important piece of information. Certain ghosts have the power to harm... only if you are afraid. That is the key: fear. If they can strike fear they can get to you mentally and connect. That connection is what does the harm. If your brain thinks that you are being choked, they you will be choked. Ghosts and Ghasts cannot hurt you if you do not fear them. Ghosts aren't always bound to a certain place, they might be able to follow you expecially if they have a grudge against you.

Comment by Φαλλεи Αи6ελ on June 26, 2009 at 6:48am - its good to have this kind of information because some people (like me) dont know the difference but now i do. i have seen a ghost a couple of nights and everytime it is the exact same ghost. at first i thought it could be my dead grandma but then i realized it looks nothing like her. im not afraid of it just a bit annoyed because it makes me stay awake at night. i want to know who it is and why it is still wondering around in my house. do u by any chance know how i can find out? i would be glad if u could give me some advice or help.

Comment by psychotica on June 24, 2009 at 7:59pm - is it possable to feel a ghost sexually, but not see it, or was this my imagination? I don't comprehend how it could have been my imagination sense my boyfriend saw the blankets moving and thats when I started to believe it was'nt my imagination.

To be honest with you, when I read it I thought i would get killed by a ghost; because I think there are sometimes some in my room. I hear them when I'm going to sleep, and sometimes I reply, but then I came to the conclusion it has to be sleep paralisis because of the time it happens (when im going to sleep).

- so what happens if a ghast drags you into a reenactment? like and you get out of it...does it do anything to you in the long term?
