Prince Charming

I waited in my gold and glass cage castle
Peered into the nothingness outside
always waiting always dreaming

Waiting for prince charming to come rescue me
But what happened?
You didn't come?
Who's going to slay my dragon?
Who's going to break my cage?

I looked into the sunset and sunrise checking for your silhoutte
But there is nothing there
And as the sun sets and rises i grow more weary
I'm tired of pounding on these walls
I want to get out
But you are nowhere in sight

I look at the sword across the room
It was intended for you to come and get it and kill the dragon
I pull up the dress to my ankles and pull the sword off the wall
Time to slay the dragon

I break through the glass with the sword and run down the path of the hill
The dragon doesn't see me as i run like the wind, the wind catching my hair making it gling in the moonlight
I look back one last time..
No more waiting...
