Lately I've read a few forum posts where different people have speculated on what the original purpose of this site is.
For the record, this site was set up to be inclusive of everyone who feels they don't fit in.
It doesn't matter who you are. If you're an emo kid, a sk8er kid, a rocker, a goth, a punk, if you're gay, straight, bi, or transgendered, if you're black, white, Asian, native, if you're old or young, if you have lots of friends, or if you're lonely and shy, if you've always felt you're somehow different and special, or you're just an ordinary person... you're welcome here.
If you're a teenager who wants to use this site as a second myspace... there's nothing wrong with that! You're welcome here!
If you're a roleplayer who wants to act out your daydream world online, you're welcome to act it out here.
If you're a Twilight fan who wants to talk about Edward Cullen and Jacob Black, you're welcome to talk here.
Whether you believe in fairies and vampires or you don't believe in fairies and vampires, you're welcome here, and welcome to voice your opinion.
Real vampire or fake real vampire, you're welcome to vamp it up here. It's up to everyone else to figure out the truth.
A small, vocal minority of people m*** too much about how great the site was in the good old days when there were only three members on it. I have news for those people.
Twilight fans have always been on this site, since long before there was a movie. Twilight fans brought this site to life.
Many of the people on this site (AND on those other sites that claim to be for "Real Vampires Only"), are roleplayers. Some of those "real vampires" are even obviously roleplaying characters from fiction books and are using photos of actors! Google them, and you will be shocked and amazed by the truth.
Instead of m****** about the "poseurs" here and telling everyone how great some other site with ten people on it is (which will get you banned for advertising by the way), use your brain to figure out who is roleplaying. Calling people "poseurs" for innocent roleplaying is rude. Just leave them to their fantasy and move on.
The other thing about people who complain vocally about "poseurs" is that they are usually "poseurs" themselves and trying to hide it. It's a case of "I think thee protest too much!"
People who m*** and bully or try to excude or silence other groups of people on the site are NOT welcome here. We all get enough of that in real life for being different, and this site is supposed to be a safe haven from the rest of the world.
